To Our STILL Hurting World…

We don’t know what our next door neighbor is going through. We don’t know what the grocery clerk is going through. We probably don’t understand what trial our mail delivery person is going through. We might not even know exactly what our spouse and children are going through.

But what if we gave just a little more compassion today than we did yesterday? Did you know that that would make a difference, maybe an even bigger difference than you would have ever anticipated?

“And of some have compassion, making a difference:” Jude 1:22

We don’t need to wait until our lives get better to make a difference. We don’t need to wait until we have the resources to make a difference. We don’t need to wait until we’re in a better position or until we get promoted to make a difference.

We can make a difference today — right now, simply by just having compassion; for some, that might mean giving more compassion than we’re used to or comfortable with.

Here and Now or There and Then

Most dreams don’t become reality overnight. Most goals cannot be accomplished overnight. So in the meantime, keep working on yourself. Keep being teachable. Keep serving and giving back in any way you can. And remember, everything that you do can either help you reach your goals or hinder you from receiving the blessings that are waiting for you.

My Word for 2021

I am not sure what it is you are needing confidence in but could I encourage you to make sure that God is with you for the journey? He is so faithful. He is so caring and understanding. And when you fail or fall, He will be right there, ready to pick you up. You are more than enough and you are able and capable of doing what God has called you to do because it is He who has called you. Take comfort in that and finish the rest of this year with confidence!

Someday vs. Today

You see, so many focus on preparing for their future here on earth while failing to secure their future for eternity. Before we can go on trying to secure our earthly treasures, I believe it is more vital to secure our eternal treasures — beginning with our eternal destination.

4 Reasons Why Jesus’ Resurrection is Vital to Christianity

Without Christ’s Resurrection, Jesus ministry and purpose would just be a disillusionment. Without Christ’s Resurrection, Jesus would only be seen as martyr who was greatly misunderstood. Without Christ’s Resurrection, we would just be hopeless creation, born to live and currently living to eventually die. Without Christ’s Resurrection, there would be no Gospel because the Gospel, which means “Good News” is the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Hope in Difficult Times

In difficult times like this, we may forget who God is. We may even doubt His sovereignty but today I want to encourage you with a simple truth: We can still have hope in times of uncertainty or difficulty. We can still be hopeful when we feel hopeless. With God’s help and with each other, we can overcome COVID19 and any other things that come our way. If there is anything this time has been teaching us, it is that we are a community and we are capable of more than we sometimes believe. We are capable of demonstrating the love that God invented — unconditional love.

Faith vs. Fear

Because our society, our communities, and the world are afraid. They are afraid of the unknown. But as a Believer, our faith is not in just some “higher being” or even “the man upstairs.” Our faith is rooted in Christ — the Saviour of the world. He has power that no one else can possess. He sees the past, present, and the future. He knows what lies ahead of us and what goes before us. There is nothing and no one that cannot first pass through Christ before getting to us.

Encouragement in Times of Fear

When we live in fear, it is not pleasing to Christ because perfect love casteth out fear and Jesus = Perfect Love.
Faithlessness will bring us to a place of depletion, incompletion, and unsatisfaction. Faithfulness (not in what we do) but in Whom we place it in — this case, Jesus, will result in a life of extension, completion, and satisfaction.

6 Dangers in Motherhood (Part 2)

“Are you weak? Do you need strength to get up and cook dinner? Are you tired? Moms who put their trust in the Lord have the promise of new strength and hope that will soar like eagles in their hearts… The only hope we have is a life of complete dependence upon our Father. He sees us with all-seeing eyes, understands us completely, and wants to meet us in the middle of our mess and reduce us from hopelessness. He sent us Jesus to show us the way home with hope.”

6 Dangers in Motherhood (Part 1)

Motherhood can be a delight but also a danger, if not done with caution. Consider the first three dangers mentioned in this post. “It’s the best of jobs. It’s the most difficult of jobs. It can bring you the greatest joy. It can cause the greatest pain. There is nothing as fulfilling and exhilarating. There’s nothing so depleting and exhausting. No area of your life can make you feel more like a success when everything is going well. No area of your life can make you feel more like a failure when things go wrong.” (Stormie Omartian)

Celebrating and Rejoicing When Others Succeed

You may be at a point in your life, just like I was, when it’s difficult to celebrate other’s successes. It’s hard seeing people who don’t even care for God, “succeed.” Sometimes, you may wonder if living the Christian life is even worth it. So whether you know someone who has succeeded in an area of their life or if you are working so hard and want to succeed in some area of your life, Just remember that the Bible does command us to rejoice always, rejoice evermore. Remember that you can’t succeed on your own.

Your Seeds (good or bad) Always Have Fruit

Have you ever read about someone in the Bible that did some horrible things, yet God still used them? Well, do you know why Moses and Aaron couldn’t enter the Promised Land? (Click through to find out) We all have sown some bad seeds in our lives and no doubt we or those after us will reap them. But we can all start sowing good seeds today. Today is a new day and God’s grace is sufficient. No matter how bad you think you are, God’s love and grace can overcome that.

Making Today Matter – Part 1

Your life has a blueprint and the Architect or Engineer of that blueprint is none other than God. He created you and He is capable and able to save you from a horrible eternity spent in hell. So, just as this dear mother entrusted the blueprint of her son’s life in the Father’s hand, you too can do the same, beginning today.
